He’s an eternal party boy. He tries to act like a mature grown up, but just fails a lot. I suspect he will always be like this.

That's awful :(
Go go go!
This - the manager believes that this company has saved this woman from a life of destitution on the streets, and that she should be endlessly grateful to them. Fuck that patronizing bullshit.
Ah! This is totally me. Over the winter I became obsessed with creating my own savory snack bar recipe because all the granola / protein / energy bars I see in the grocery store always taste like an ice cream cone — filled with all kinds of sugars and way too sweet. I’m a grad student, and would often want to grab a…
I know not everyone with blue eyes is ;)
Totally off topic, but I think this case would make an excellent basis for the next season of the Serial podcast. I'd love to hear Sarah Koenig dig into the nuances of this s case!
Thank you for your amazingly detailed explanation :)
For me it's the ice blue eyes. I've known a couple of very scary feeling people with those eyes- scary like there is not an emotional mind behind them. It gives you chills to meet people with eyes like that because you can be standing right in front of them and it's as if you as a person don't even register.
Thanks for confirming the symptoms that I've seen for years in a college friend of mine. Also a person I've cut off contact with.
I just read the NYMag article, and I have a different opinion now. I don’t think the girl meant harm— I think she, with her own issues, got pulled into his ideation and didn’t know how to handle it after a point.
Ugh! So creepy! Isn't it nuts how those types will fall immediately back into their old ways the minute they can get their claws into you?
I think it's the face of the sociopath, in that she now realizes HER life might end up fucked as a result of her behavior, but still no remorse for what she did to the boy.
Yeah, but....Texas :-/
That’s really not fair. It sounds like this unstable woman was holding her family as emotional hostages. If you've never experienced someone like that, you don't know what kind of hell that can be. No matter what someone’s issues are — that is abuse in its own right. Someone who would pull out a gun to start bullying…
Wow— thanks for sharing your experience. This is something people should hear about, even outside of the Orlando situation.
Ha! That's actually really awesome — it makes me happy that there are trainers out there who encourage you to make yourself happy, instead of pushing you to be a sculpted workout robot.
Ha! Yes! Straightsplaining! That's totally what it is!
Was thinking the same —I have a feeling that audiences who like stand up are the kind of bros who don't feel threatened or shocked by lesbians? Maybe they just actually like, accept her?
