You get used to it and just start blocking them out. The clinic (rightfully) takes a strong stance against engaging with the protesters. We want to create as calm of an environment as possible. And as I look at it, they’re not going to change my mind with a conversation and you’re not going to change their mind.

Not to dox myself, but I’ve escorted there. My friend and I joke that our protesters are the kind of people who go to brunch and tip their waiters with bible verses. They always leave before noon, so we assume that’s what they’re up to next.

Interesting. I’ve gotten tickets through the public lottery every time I tried. This won’t help with this show, but I’ve found it’s always easier to get tickets in the first week or two that the show is open vs the last two. Try and get tickets when it’s still technically “in previews.” After the reviews are out it

Have you tried the lottery at the public? That’s how I got tickets a few weeks ago. I thought the show was amazing. My second favorite I’ve seen through Shakespeare in the park.

It’s on netflix!

I have very strong views around the fact that Grease 2 is a million times better then Grease.

My parents never got me a bitty baby (I had multiple American Girl Dolls though, so this is totally a spoiled child problem) and I still bitch about it every christmas. my mom tells me that one year she’s going to buy my adult self one just to shut me up.

I do realize that. But in this situation, she has the means of getting there as she discussed a trip with a friend.

Yes, but she said she had the means to visit. If she knew about it early enough she could have purchased tickets. It was very mainstream for a very long period of time when it was still easy to get ticket. I believe there was a CBS Sunday morning segment about it while it was at The Public. You don’t get more middle

Seeing it at the Public would have been hard, but as soon as it went to Broadway it was very very easy to get tickets.

Yeah... September was a little late. But when I was living in Texas at 15 I still knew what shows were going to be big ahead of time. Thank you internet! BUT it looks like a live taping is coming, which I’m a big proponent of. I grew up on PSB tapings (I remember one Sunday spending the whole day to get Oklahoma) and

I don’t think you should do any of that. I was an active theater fan when I lived in Texas and am fully aware of my privilege of being able to travel to see the shows I wanted to see. But tickets were totally easy to get for a really long time. Yes, the lodging and transportation were a lot harder, but the ticket

how dare i say negative things about hamilton or people who don’t care about theater unless it is a cultural phenomena?!

It was already mainstream in January. Are you talking about January of 2015? The soundtrack was released in September of last year... It sucks that you didn’t buy tickets buy you had a LOT of chances to do so...

Lin-Manual’s last day is also July 9 and he said he’d be involved in the taping, so I think Leslie is good!

Disagree. He was great. I’m not going to say he wasn’t. But every new person is a new interpretation of the role. I don’t think anyone is irreplaceable because they add something new.

Ugh. I know this won’t be seen because I’m in the greys... but all of this Hamilton talk makes me so eye rollie... If you are a real musical theater fan you knew this was going to be a big thing before it was at the Public Theater. I saw it a year ago in previews and told everyone I knew to buy tickets (few listened).
