Yeah, it’s too coincidental that Chrysler owned Matra when they were developing the Espace and then came up with their own very similar concept. American Motors, which Chrysler would later buy, also had a small van concept in the very late 70's, so it could have been a combination of influences.

It’s tv’s version of hard sci-fi. I’ll take what I can get. I’ll try and find your post. Is there a nutshell version? We’ve got stuff like Star Trek and Star Wars space opera shows, and maybe Foundation, but what else is out there?

You’re really reaching. Most of the pictures posted have been 3/4 views plus saying “but they’re bad at rear ends” is just plain silly not to mention wrong.

Nope. You still don’t know what the fuck you’re talking about.

What is it not good at? It was built to carry up to 5 people in style and comfort and it seems like it succeeds just fine.

nor is it filling a niche that isn’t already being super-served by minimum 3 other platforms.

Unpopular because it’s a terrible opinion.

The Pacer had a lot of design features that were ahead of their time. It was the first American car to eschew rain gutters and extend the door openings into the roof. The first to have that rack and pinion standard. The widetrack was also ahead of its time. It was also designed to have a rollbar although that was

U.S. spec French cars are pretty exotic here, too. Those of us that love them are few and far between, so survivors are rare no matter the model.

The Stout Scarab. Not only the world’s first minivan (almost half a century before the Caravan), but it also had a revolutionary cab-forward design without running boards and big fenders. The whole thing was an unheard of concept for 1936.

The fastback crossover trend is the dumbest, worst trend in the history of automobiles. The ugliest, most pointless motor vehicles ever made.

Now I do remember that later Euro Le Car decal like the silver one there. I didn’t realize there was one that looked like our Le Cars, too. We always want our cars to look more European, and I guess in Europe it’s exciting to have something that looks like what the Americans got.

I absolutely love my old iPad Mini. It’s perfect for reading. I got a new Air for work, but I keep the Mini for when I don’t want to be holding something large and awkward for long periods.

No

What if that indigenous fauna is good eatin’?

I actually flew on Trump air once when I was a kid from New York to D.C. I don’t remember much except that the inside of the plane was swathed in bordello red and fake gold.

Not at all this. The original is a design icon.

I probably should have bought the Dude Where’s My Car Le Car, but the interior had been completely torn apart I guess for filming and I wanted a Le Car as a daily driver. It was in The Recycler classifieds paper just listed as “Renault movie car” but I knew instantly what movie it was. It was dirt cheap. Hopefully

People forget also that the car in Dude Where’s My Car is a Le Car.

You also turn the engine with the front wheel on those. There was a Spanish microcar called the David that did the same thing.
