My favorite time-honored technique is to find some way to delay. The impatient ones then have to try and figure it out, and they do most of the time, surprisingly enough. Taking care of them at the drop of a hat makes them lazy and co-dependent. ::-(

I still love my first two wives. They just made it impossible to live with them. You can only control yourself. You can't control what someone else does. You can love someone and sacrifice for them, but they have to _want_ to feel loved or they never will.
