Hah, it opened with "Let's roll"

On one hand, Mars is less massive than Earth and has quite a bit less gravity, so getting off of Mars would require less fuel than getting off of Earth.

To be fair, the Mars trip is one way while the car will last a while. On the other hand...

The problem isn't that it was completely devoid of value or even that it was primarily a platform game. Like I said, during boss fights it was actually quite good. The problem was how much of it was vacuous filler platforming with uninteresting locations and less interesting things to interact with.

I found it to be literally a chore to play through. Abysmal is sugar-coating it.

I'm aware that it isn't mean to replace it. It's a short multiplayer mode after all (only you can use coms instead of players as well), the idea that it would replace a long drawn out single player/coop experience is just silly.

Due to size limitations they could only pick 2 songs per stage it seems. They already said the Wii U version will be more like SSBB in this regard with lots of songs per stage that you can mess with the frequency on.

Way more disappointing is the Smash Run mode, which Nintendo has been touting as the 3DS game's big exclusive feature but doesn't hold a candle to, say, Brawl's Subspace Emissary single-player mode.

You keep using that word... I think it means exactly what you think it means.

So is this more or less impressive than beating Ninja Gaiden II NES without taking any damage? Because that game is a real pain in the ass.

Really the simple way to fix this kind of problem would just be to regulate in-app transactions to only allow so much money to pass through in a limited amount of time. No one has any business spending thousands, let alone tends of thousands of dollars on an online game and seeing someone attempt to do so should

Reverse engineering MMOs and their servers has been a fascinating topic to me ever since I first learned about Ragnarok Online private servers.

Hah, the belt part was so prominent that I almost missed the zip part.

You seem to be confused. Check my post (the one saying 'don't be unnecessarily rude'), look who I was responding to (it's shown immediately to the right of the username of the poster), and uh... apologize I guess.

Well, Mario Kart would still probably sell if they pulled online play since it 1. isn't well implemented in any Mario Kart game so-far, and 2. has more obvious differences between iterations than an NHL or Madden game (frequently panned as nothing more than roster updates). I get where he's coming from.

Come on man, don't be unnecessarily rude and raise my grammar nazi hackles at the same time.

Eh, it's sort of like how people dislike Twilight Princess. People's sense of scale for good and bad gets flipped on its head when observed through the lens of Zelda, so something that is just average as far as other games go becomes 'teh worst game evah!'

I love playing multiplayer Mario Kart with friends and family, but online with anonymous people never really felt like much of an experience to me. Online play with friends is good, but it's always at its best when there is some banter between the players and that leaves me setting up shifty workarounds like running

We need some footage of the FFXV cast doing the Night at the Roxbury car dancing.
