'me and my mate still use items minus final smashes' isn't exactly the most obvious justification for keeping final smashes in the game :P

Release testing technically. I don't really see that as a factor though.

It really makes you wonder why they didn't go for a simultaneous worldwide release... or at least US+JP at the same time. I mean, what did they really gain from releasing three weeks earlier in Japan?

Ness essentially got Lucario's old Final Smash.

Honestly I feel like final smashes should have been a one time thing. On one hand, we continue to have fairly lazy looking clones (Black Pit being among the more egregious of them) including long standing problems for the series like Ganondorf still being slow Captain Falcon. At the same time, most players who

In which case Minecraft modders will likely just keep doing what they've been doing... modding older versions of Minecraft than what's current.

The founders: Notch, Carl, and Jakob are leaving. We don't know what they're planning. It won't be Minecraft-related but it will probably be cool.

Phrased differently, but meaning exactly the same thing, "They've been fishing."

I don't really think they are that worried about the paltry number of PC gamers who aren't using PCs. They'll probably keep the various mobile ports going, but I doubt they'll go with Java for Minecraft 2 and I doubt they'll pursue Macintosh and Linux ports when they do decide not to go with Java.

That is a little more expensive than I thought it would be :/

I'm aware that it's based purely on velocity and not on force, but that doesn't change that the most natural way to do those motions is to slam the controller fairly hard so that there is an audible clacking sound when you hit the edge of the controller's restricting bracket. Trying to play unnaturally in order to

During my stream of Smash Bros. yesterday, I was playing on my original 3DS. And while it was outputting to my TV, there was just enough video lag that I was forced to use my 3DS' tiny, tiny screen to play instead. Did I mention that it's tiny?

You use the circle pads for street fighter?

Ouch. That stings.

Every single person on Earth who has seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

'Substances like petroleum' is a pretty vague way to describe something. At least as vague as artificial flavors when you realize that just about any organic compound could be in some way described as 'like petroleum'.

Ah, fair enough.

I think the proper phraseology here is metagame (it's a game made within the context of another game). When you say mindgames when referring to a fighting game, you are talking about strategies used to screw with other players and get in their heads in order to create openings and junk like that.
