WHAT DID YOU DO? Did you“(try) to think of the most harmless thing”, “something that could never possibly destroy us”? Because I have news for you; this has happened before. Don’t be that guy.

Wait, no Honor Harrington? O.o

It. Does. Not. Exist.

“This video is not available. Sorry about that.”

Says unscented but it has a lemony smell; that said, it’s been my choice for unscented deodorants the past few years.

MPC (Media Player Classic [64bit]) is my preferred player.

And yet the Matrix happens to be the *best example* of why movies shouldn’t be triologies. Most of my friends and colleagues refuse to even acknowledge the sequels exist (and I bloody well commend them for their fine taste in denying its existence - god knows I wish I could forget them).

Definitely blocked in Canada at least.

I’ve just started the Honor Harrington books by David Weber, in part because I saw them referenced here in a thread regarding “what books should they make movies for next?” While the individual stories bear no resemblance, the overall tone and concept reminds me a lot of Mass Effect (I played as Femshep, notably a

I tried with Jaws of Hakkon and it wasn’t discounted (default price remained as is) and wouldn’t allow itself to be discounted (no field to insert the code). I tried both the website and the Origin app to the same result.

The discount doesn’t apply to *any* DLC, just game titles. Your byline that Origin’s discount is on “their entire storefront” is erroneous and misleading.

I’m happy to hear it turned you onto the books! That said, shouldn’t a show based on existing material be judged, first, on its use of that material? Did any of those terrible changes make the story better or draw you in? I do understand your fondness or nostalgia for having experienced it first but I’m just annoyed

Come on, Morgan being black instead of german? Murphy being spanish instead of button-nosed 5’ nothing blonde? (The actress actually auditioned for Susan, and that would’ve been brilliant - but instead we got TV world shenanigans.) Bob being a person instead of a spirit of intellect trapped inside a skull? The jeep

Mass Effect, starring Femshep.

The TV adaptation a few years back was *terrible*. Oh, there will be people that enjoyed it (or, more aptly, try to convince themselves they enjoyed it), but the showrunners were fickle, like a faithless lover. Most of the characters looked *nothing* like how they were supposed to (Murphy, Bob, Morgan, just about

So, you’re saying a $200-400 game is the equivalent to what I paid in 1999, or that it is in any way acceptable? And you’re saying I look like an idiot? Whew.

Games aren’t cheaper than before (with or without inflation). Back in 1999, I paid $49.99 and no DLC, now I pay $89.99 and DLC; games are more expensive than ever. And you can’t throw the blame game into it (blame the government for low wages, et al) — although certainly a factor, our wages are what they are. I don’t

>People can’t be expected to work for free.

There’s too much DLC as it is. Customers are expected to buy the game for $69.99 (deluxe edition for $89.99), then paid for commercial DLC, then pay for $29.99 expansions (Skyrim has at least two), and now we’re expected to pay yet more for mods to fix or otherwise streamline or properly add high-definition textures

Gamers are disconnected? I think you’re disconnected if you think a $60 game with an $90 deluxe edition, several $20 expansion packs, also needs saddle the players with a ton of nickling and diming to fix or otherwise steamline what should have been good enough not to need modding to begin with.
