@evoCS: BMW will sell you a 328i Sport Wagon in either RWD and xDrive configuration with a 6 speed manual.
With a clever platform and a FWD powertrain (Nissan DiG I'm lookin at you) you could make a great modern minitruck that would sell. Look the popularity of the Transit Connect - they are everywhere around here, and perfect for the job.
I have 2 auto trans cars currently, an RSX and a Saab 9-3. I need to get rid of one for a new manual (probably the RSX) but honestly I'm debating waiting until I move out of Chicago before I do that.
@Schm-san strikes back: Huh?
Daewoo Lanos.
Douche, I hate executives like this.
Jackets and jeans are so totally back.
While Joe Isuzu, Jonathan Pryce (as the Infiniti spokesperson) and Sam Jackson in those old Pontiac spots (hilarious! especially the outtake) could be decent responses, I think it has to go to Mike Rowe.
Now see, this is intelligent, and solution-driven action. He calls out details, he highlights his fear but most importantly he (and others) passed through.
If they had this now their IPO's price would skyrocket. This is the sort of product they need to get out! I know I'd be shopping it.
While I applaud Cadillac for trying their hand in a city car concept they kinda blew it with the grill and the over-the-top DRG. Why a grille that size? Why so much unsexy chrome? I think Cadillac should go small and monobox, but without such heavy and dated graphics ruining the volume.
The EPA offices must be staffed with the most dreary, unfunny and un-ironic people in America. How else would they let this slide?
I like this one a lot! Now, if someone could find me a Triumph TR6 with the 2JZ and Supra suspension treatment that would be a perfect companion to this little guy.
@.sherpa: "The backscatter devices were pushed very hard by the three companies that make them (two with current contracts and a third that was an early leader). All three companies employ former DOT or DOT-adjacent under-secretaries, secretaries and/or directors as their lobbysts. There is a paletable possibility…
@-Amateur: Group B! Group B!
@JonZeke: Thanks for the responses, but I'm unclear on these civil liberties responses.
To the men out there who fear this: whats the big deal about walking through this machine? Is it fear of having a small penis revealed?
Do you believe in life after hybrids?
In the very near future it will be the Range Rover Evoque, helped by the Victoria Beckham connection and likely product placement on the next "Real Housewives of a Major Metropolitan Area."
