Audacity can record directly from audio out, under Edit:"Preferences": "Devices" and then select your sound card (or "Primary Sound Capture Driver") as the "Recording Interface". On second thought, it might require an external (= not built directly on the motherboard) sound card, but then again it might not. Good luck!
