and I definitely know what you're saying about transmissions and headgaskets. The A4LD auto trans isn't known for it's durability. Lifters, rocker arms, and pushrods are another common issue as well. Ford didn't really use the proper heat treating technique on thrse components, so the tops of the pushrods can

very nice! I personally prefer the first gen as well. I like the looks of them more than any of the other generations, plus they just seem to be the best. They're light weight which gives them a decent power to weight ratio, they actually have ground clearance and a fairly stout TTB front axle setup, and the

biggest difference between the Marauder and these pimped out Granny wagons? the Marauder is actually a good, fun fullsize sedan

And here's my fourth one (13th vehicle i've owned), this one is my current daily driver

Third one (ninth vehicle I've owned) actually ended up as a parts rig for the 'wheeling rig since it had a cracked block, but it was driven on the streets once and hooned quite a bit in a field

This one was my second one (6th vehicle I've owned), the wheeling rig

For the record, this one, my first explorer (second vehicle I've owned) was the one involved in the higher speed tip up

Now playing

This is all I could find for my rig, a '93 Ford Explorer. The '94 in the video has side curtain airbags, mine does not. Generally, any time you have occupants rolling around freely in the cabin during a rollover, things aren't going well. It's a scary thought, seeing as I've had a tip-up onto the driver side wheels

Beautiful car! I love the styling of the 40s-50s American cars! One of these days, I shall own a huge 4 door boat such as this, but until then, I'll just have to look at pictures like this and day dream

This is exactly what kills racing sims for me. I don't do very well because of the "numbness". In real life, you know how your body feels and reacts to the g forces when your tires are pushing their limits, when the brakes want to lock up, etc. Without that driver-to-car connection, it's impossible to really know what

I really wouldn't mind having an F-650, but certainly not for daily driver uses. I'd love to take one four wheeling

Can we justify smoky burnouts and power pulls from stoplights as "vocational purposes"? I think we can.

That looks good! If this is what the new Mustang looks like, I'd be ok with owning one.

This one works the opposite way, IMO. It'd be like dating a woman named Renault or Hyundai

This is true, but it's refreshing to see the phrase in its natural habitat every now and again, rather than commented at least once in every "to catch a car" that comes out.

True, although the 305 was still a pretty strong motor. My ex-girlfriend had an RS with a 305 and auto trans and it was super fun to drive. the motor was pretty worn out but it would still leave 30 foot long tire marks on the pavement when you romped on it from a dead standstill.

Up to 85 feet of semi, weighing as much as 85,000 lbs should not go that fast for safety reasons, IMO.

3rd gen Camaros, especially the IROC-Z. No matter how many "Redneck Corvette" jokes you make about them, they're still a blast to drive, especially the T-top models

Give it a few more inches of ground clearance and some aggressive tires and I'd drive it all day long.

I actually kind of like 3rd gen Camaros, so this is quite the catastrophe. As for the name, maybe they thought that Ford would sue because "Interceptor" is part of "Police Interceptor"?
