Every time that I've dealt with the carb'd 2.8, it's been trying to find where the oil is leaking out of it. Ironically, I haven't seen it as bad on the EFI 2.9

My gut reaction when I see them is usually "that thing wouldn't hold up in a wreck". Great looking car for sure, but I don't think I'd ever want to daily drive one for that reason.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that his Bronco II was rear ended and he figured he might as well save the motor for the Triumph project he had going?

is the one in the pic yours?

I don't understand why he thought that driving it to a parking lot was going to be ok. He was intoxicated, behind the wheel, and on public roads. That's a textbook definition for DUI.

i don't understand the point in putting the Ford 2.8 under the hood. I suppose it would be a great motor for that car, but aftermarket support is terrible for those motors. The most efficient, reliable way to add power to any 2.8 or 2.9 equipped vehicle is swapping in a 4.0.

obviously ford's attempts at reaching out to new mustang buyers has worked sooooo well in the past...

hahaha, mine made it in to the gallery

If I had money to blow through, I'd buy one of these... just sayin...

I've yet to see a used 4 cyl mustang that was the cost of a 5.0 cheaper than a factory 5.0 equipped mustang around here

This is a terrible idea. I'd personally like to go the other way with this concept. I'd love to get a GT and put V6 wheels, bumpers, grill, etc. on it.

I actually saw one of these in person a few days ago. I never knew that so many had been made. I thought I was seeing something more rare than 1/11,000 :(

I hate to say it, but I could dig something like this. The mustang styling could definitely go, but a 4 door ford here in the states that's built on the mustang platform and drivetrain could be pretty cool.

is the the king Cobra edition?

I thought the worn out patina look was in these days

That is freakin awesome!

I keep telling my girlfriend that when we have kids, I'm going to teach them the different names and sizes of tools at a very early age so they can work on cars with me. Having a kid like this is pretty much the best possible outcome that could come from that.

that seems like a huge fiery explosion waiting to happen. do they know what happens when sparks meet fuel?

I'll have to wait and see how the new mustang will look, but i'm not hugely excited about it getting Fusion styling cues

With $2900, i'd probably put that toward a lift and tires for my explorer, but if i had to go out and buy a car with that, i'd probably buy an SN96 mustang GT
