As a new Mini owner, I can't even get others of my kind to wave anymore. They look at me like I'm some sort of overly friendly mentally handicapped individual and drive on. This in turn, has cause my waving to drop considerably. Granted, if an original Mini happens by not only will there be a wave, but quite

@tonyola: Now that you mention it, probably right. I seem to remember mine rolling a 2.73. Still, with a chrysler 904 3spd auto behind it, those aren't bad numbers.

@BroncoMech: Agreed. You sure as hell weren't going to confuse your AMC product with anything else in the grocery store parking lot.

@Maxx Cracker — sponsored by Peniston Oils: They were doing something wrong. My 76 258 powered Gremlin would manage 20 on the highway. And that was in 1999 when I got it as my first car! Oh and braking while cornering=instant oversteer. Lots of fun that is!

@Greek: Agreed on both counts. Being that i've owned two Volvos and no Mercs, I vote the Redblock over the Merc though.

@BrtStlnd: I'm thinking that should be more, "car, car, suv, Dragon, car"

@Kerc 2.0 beta: actually, it is pretty normal. Maybe not the SUV rolling over every time, but small cars are NOT tin death traps. Get over it.

@Kerc 2.0 beta: You mean like this Mini driver who hit a Tahoe?

@bradyb: Working early morning (i.e. 1am on) and being parked in odd areas for my job I end up talking to more than a few law enforcement officers. Every single one that has had a Charger has been absolutely ecstatic about the car. Bigger, better handling, rides better, goes better, and lets face it, looks way

@B-Sel: I had 2 Gremlins between the ages of 14 and 17. If you dig personality, they're hard to go wrong with. I've noticed AMC people tend to not be worried about being factory original, or the fastest car out there etc. Just laid back and like talking about their cars.

I've always had a soft spot for the 1st hot hatch. The Gremlin X. Rear drive, V8, and looks so awkward mom even does a double take.

Shows with judges are generally pretty annoying. Good viewing mind you, but just not as much fun as they should be. Large meets however, are much much more fun. There's one in the mid Missouri area (last Saturday of every month until Oct, on Main st. in Jefferson City for those that care) that's generally in the

The original car was batshit crazy and a bit of a handful to drive, so I seriously hope that the 599's plant is back there. We need more cars that will send you through the pearly gates backwards and on fire.

@Rust-MyEnemy: ...I see what you did there...my brain hurts now.

@FodderTheSane: Nah, they'll save the effort and just add another T to it. Thus the littlest Caddi will also be the littlest Imperial walker.

@rigidjunkie: Have to agree. If you're looking for something odd to play with, at this price, me thinks you could do much worse.

I'm quite partial to the 3.6l Ferrari powered Rambler wagon myself.

@Dennis Christin: Actually in this case, assuming the pictures posted are correct and there isn't more to the ticket than just the tail lights, the judge is actually violating constitutional law by putting Maryland law before Federal. She is attempting to regulate interstate commerce which is illegal at the state

@HiramJahoovafat: Actually I think his modifications (to the tail lights. I'm not going to deal with anything else since that is what was claimed to be the issues here) are more than likely legal. Look at what he painted, NONE of it had anything to do with the production of light or reflection of light. That is
