Many planes have expensive payphones built right into the seats. It's just about squeezing money out of people, not about safety at all. The only time people shouldn't be using their electronics on a plane ride, is during the pre-takeoff safety demonstration and during heavy turbulence.

I don't know how secure NFC is, but if it's secure enough I don't see any problems with it. Truth be told I'd like to see a proper standard for induction charging emerge first so car manufacturers can start embedding charging platforms in the dash or center console.

I quit using Instagram when they started acting like total dildos about Twitter. I might as well use Flickr then with some IFTTT triggers

Nope, I just block 'em.

Oh well, I'm not complaining.

Only until you pay for pro (once more). Flickr deletes no files, as long as you're using free you just only get access to the 200 most recent ones. Upgrade to pro and you (and others) can access them again, as well as having no monthly limits, being able to upload images of max 50 MB each and allowing you and others

A bottle of vodka only costs about 5€ here, no idea what a bottle of rubbing alcohol would cost.

I just pour some vodka in it (bottle with USSR emblem, of course it has to hold that!). Any bacteria that can survive a liquid that's essentially 40-50% alcohol kinda deserves to get you.

If video games remind you of the horrors, then it's normal to quit them, be it temporarily or indefinitely. I also appreciate how Jeremy keeps in mind violent video games didn't cause this or previous tragedies.

No direct quick and easy way. There *is* a way. The real problem is retrieving them all from Flickr when you're using a free account. They don't delete photos, but on free accounts you can only view the 200 most recently uploaded ones and you can't retrieve pictures in their original size (if they exceed 2048 by

Creech AFB is hardly a military secret.

I got one of these for free, it was a demo unit and the store I worked at permanently closed doors. You can just update the firmware to get them out of demo mode and working like a perfectly normal jambox. Powerful little speakers.

It's a DC current, which means the loss over distance is greater. It might still do for regular charging, but when your cable is longer than 5m without a power amplifier, expect unreliable data transfers.

How the hell can you copyright a combination of two nouns?

Well, nobody can stay angry at Scandinavians. Tbh I believe North Korea needs to get its priorities straight, raise the living standard for its citizens instead before spending resources on prestige projects like these. The space race was essentially also just the USA and USSR trying to outdo each other, but the space

Are we talking actual launches, parts built or now-orbiting satellites made? Cause in the case of the latter two Belgium's also in the list, other than waffles they also made the PROBA satellite. Furthermore the robotic arms used by the Space Shuttles were made in Canada.

The cassette and Walkman.

Skylight filters are a great option too, considering several manufacturers now sell their lenses with a UV-coating.

I just use a lens pen. The horse hairs for removing particles from the lens, the cleaning tip for removing smears and smudges.
