Recent trends tend to disagree. Back to the other scandal made from nothing with Bountygate, every year there has been something to keep the NFL in the news during the offseason. Even to the point of moving the Combine and the Draft to make sure there is less deadtime.

This story is to keep people hanging on for more NFL news. We won’t know how long Brady will actually be suspended for until Mini Camps. They will draw this out that long.

It’s all about staying in the news. More people talked about this over the weekend than playoff NBA games. That’s the point.
