Great effort. I would’ve preferred a mosaic of BiBi, though.

I was done the moment they showed the actual dungeon and the teleport trap. Nope. No more roguelikes for me.

For what it’s worth, Porygon was given a generous 2 evolutions, and became catchable in the wild in later games (though only in the post-game, and even getting the chance to catch him requires specific circumstances). His middle form looks like a rubber ducky, and his final form is streamlined.

It might be the eyes/facial expressions. The original game’s in-game models were like that too, with dead-eyed stares; the liveliness comes from the emoticons they spout off and the character portraits.

I’ve enjoyed the trailers so far, but Margaret in this one kinda reminds me of those animated gifs where people glue Persona heads on the characters.

I’m doing okay. I have a backlog so big I can’t figure out what order to untangle it in, and with announcements dropping almost every day, I’ll be busy in the 3rd and 4th quarter too. Plus I have one of the games on the list (Operation Abyss) on the way.

Thanks for archiving the footage. I wasn’t aware this was being played and would’ve slept through it regardless. I watched every single minute - or more accurately, listened to it, during the slower segments. That’s more footage than I can reliably dig up on Youtube.

Could be worse - they could’ve pursued a single rating that would be applicable across the entire world, lumping every country’s loopy restrictions together at the same time.

Yeah, I know.

Hope they put as much effort into developing the actual game as they did naming it.

LovePlus-style wrestling game confirmed.

I don’t even know why they’re bothering with the PR stuff considering their impending exit from console/handheld gaming.

This cluttering of portfolios is what happens when the powers don’t stick to their “core competencies”.

The grammar is deliberately bad, because the character writing the dialogue for the strip-within-the-strip is based on The Heavy from Team Fortress 2, who is some sort of Russian/German gaming stereotype.

“The most expressive parts of the movements are in the hands and arms” - I haven’t watched the trailers enough to verify that, but that description sounds like para para dancing, which is much more recent. That doesn’t rule out modern dance trends being based on older culture, of course.

I just got back for the day and I’m exhausted. Did not go see your panel because I left earlier and did not see the post. Running out of program booklets did not help, either.

What a bunch of Herberts.

I can’t believe this pigeon survived the entire comic.

3.7 million dollars... a day? You sure that isn’t a money-laundering scheme?

The gold standard for destruction. Watched it in college, and have never come across a more satisfying death laser.
