I figured a post like this was coming. I've been trying to put my finger on this problem for a while now.

Not a single...

The buttons on a 2DS are placed higher up relative to the ones on a 3DS (or at least, the XL). I was thinking of getting one but I wasn't sure about that button configuration, so I went in the other direction and bought a limited release XL instead (gold Zelda).

Oh? Thanks for the info!

Ugh, I love foils, but I don't want the food, and I can't see myself deliberately throwing it out.

Missing a con because of illness- that's a nightmare scenario. Hope you feel better soon.

Lunar: Silver Star Story

At the time, I thought it was okay, but the randomly-generated dungeons were as basic as can be and the cast was kind of unwieldy. I do kind of miss seeing that big twist at the end, but I'm too lazy to go back and play it (battery must have died long ago).

Lufia 2

Ooh, interesting "crossover". I love Skullgirls' soundtrack.

I'm not in a rush to get this iteration of the franchise. The set list looks limited- it will take a while for enough DLC catalogs to roll out to tell if they're holding back anything amazing. And the rhythm aspect is still a chore - mash one of three buttons and hope your bursts are properly timed.

Kinja ate my comment. Besides Momocon this weekend (I didn't even realize there was a con the week after), there is Dragoncon in early September (gigantic) and Anime Weekend Atlanta in early October.

I actually flinched when I read that. I'm convinced the game would be published, but would wind up being terrible.

MomoCon's this weekend. I didn't even realize there was an Atlanta Comic Con after it. DragonCon at the beginning of September is huge. Anime Weekend Atlanta at the beginning of October.

I tend to use Let's Plays as background audio while I'm working on something, so I prefer games that I'm already familiar with and lots of commentary.

I can't really disagree. As far as I understand, "light novel" just refers to books targeted to young adults, so the barrier of entry is low. That includes a lot of disposable stuff.

It's economizing at work. By using contemporary characters, the producer and scriptwriter can save on effort needed to establish the characters' backgrounds. And by placing the setting in a game, they can take additional shortcuts- everything is derived from the real world or from a game, which by nature is

Nobody tell Monokuma about this trend.

It looks like a treasure chest exploded.
