If you understood how it works...WBTV produces and finances the show...CW pays a licensing fee to WBTV for the rights to broadcast it. Since CW pays the most it (meaning it airs in on other networks around the world) has SOME SAY in what happens on the show but it’s very little in comparison to the control that WBTV

Where a show is shot has nothing to do with “where it’s from/who produced it.” The show is written by writers in Los Angeles, produced by Greg Berlanti who has a huge overall deal with WB and offices on the lot. The show couldn’t be more “Hollywood” if it tried.

Is this the same Hollywood where the make a successful FLASH show? I’m confused, who are you railing on? WB? They make the show...so...

Berg and Johns have always been in charge...I’d like anyone to point out a time when they weren’t the ones running the DC Universe for WB

We are not aware, no one has any clue...and giving the fact the RED TURTLE was nominated gives more credence to the fact it wasn’t pushed heavily on voters, since they did accept an “anime” movie for nomination.

But RED TURTLE!

RED TURTLE WAS NOMINATED!

Did you see the extended cut of KING ARTHUR, or should I say the R version?

Yeah, I misread it the first time, when I thought it said “directed by” but the point still stands...it must be like an associate or co-producer

Except when the original song cost 10mil

The directors of TAKEN,EQUALIZER and LUCY are three completely different people.

There are so many non-sequels made...

Yes you will

Huh...both those shows were cast specifically because of their DIVERISTY. Read anything about the creation of Luke Cage or SENSE8

THE SHOW WAS CREATED BY THE OA. She wrote it, she produced it...fuck this article, go watch THE SHACK

And that’s exactly what I mean when I say she’s a layperson...she doesn’t know anything about making movies or how the business works or how to properly critique a film...because all she has is a worthless, pointless, “degree” in film studies, (which I have as well, so this is first hand experience, from a top 5 film

take it from someone who actually works in the business she has a “degree” in...she’s still a layperson. Unless she spends her days color grading and/or making films...she’s a layperson.

Or he could have been brought in after Ben Mendolsohn failed. Like, we need a new guy, transfer someone in from HR...

Nope, you just have to see the other movies that he cares about...FISH TANK, TRESPASS AGAINST US, 12 YEARS A SLAVE, STEVE JOBS, SHAME, JANE EYRE

Yeah...couldn’t have said this better. Beautiful looking film, lots and lots of problems.
