There are a lot of tricks to pull off more on the C64 than anyone expected, but as shown the driving scene would be pulling off way too many to look that smooth at that resolution. You can trick the screen into showing more than it's limits of colors per character block (yeah, there were 16 colors built in, but you

Yeah, once he's inside it's a bit closer to what the C64 was graphically capable of, but the driving scene before definitely has more colors and resolution that it would've been able to pull off.

The game play videos at the site offer up a little more explanation, or at least give a better look at what's in store for the player.

Aw, looks like Paul Christoforo is out of ANOTHER job.

I don't have to reach to dislike it when I was just bored while watching. When I ask "why the characters did this or that", I'm not so much asking why within the logic of the film, so much as why the screenwriters wrote it so the characters had to do this or that to fit the logic of the film. There's a difference between 10 years between movies and 10 years between reboots.

Worked in Shaun of the Dead, for the most part.

I imagine this playing out very much like Defender of the Crown.

I loved the first book. Hated the second up to about 2/3rds through when I finally gave up on it. Never bothered with the third.

Clearly, WOPR just wanted to play a game.
