There are a lot of theories about why he was so mad. It was another bad start, a continuation of his bad 2019 which is a contract year for him, and also Dombrowski had just said the reason the team didn’t make any trades was because he didn’t believe in the team.

Barry is gonna be pissed when he realizes teams value cheap prospects more than expensive Major Leaguers, so they probably won’t make many trades. In a similar vein, teams also don’t want to do stuff like “sign free agents” because they cost money.
