You can be supportive of innocent civilians on both sides. Not all Israeli citizens support their government. Not all Palestinians support or are part of Hamas.

Both Hamas and the Israeli government are committing atrocities against civilians. This is not a simple situation where you can just support one side.

I actually generally like Sarah Paulsen, but she was terrible on that show, probably mostly because of the writing. Her character was supposed to be a comic genius, but she just was not funny. They kept telling us, but never showed us.

It’s just worded awkwardly - “at the time” wasn’t meant to differentiate from now but to track the connection from Sarah Paulson to Amanda Peet through Matthew Perry. The Birds are still delightfully themselves and best friends.
