Leftists hate musk because he saved free speech from their progressing momentum of control over it.

My list would look something like: 80% of the seasons tied for first, and 20% very gently tied for second, mostly because they’re just less memorable (I had a few ohhhh right, them! moments clicking through the slideshow).

Tampopo got a shout! <3 There are multiple scenes that coulda made this list, but yeah, the ramen slurping is an all-timer. One of my top five movies.

Tampopo is a deep cut from 1985...

This really promises to be the most Serious Movie where adults scream at each other with fake Italian accents since whatever the last one was. Say what you will about Gaga’s (whatever she was doing), at least that one was campy and kinda fun.

I have no idea why people what to hear her opinions on anything.

Yes, it’s that. Spy is f*cking fantastic, and I would watch a new one every year. On the flip side, anything her husband directs is comedy poison, and actively damaging her career.

“I just loved the franchise...”

Hah, same. One thing I think she consistently gets very right is casting (aside from one of the March sisters in Little Women), so there’s that to look forward to.

They are absolutely losing their f*cking minds (I’m generously suggesting they had minds to begin with). Happened to scan a few comments on an article mentioning that Gerwig would be tackling a Narnia reboot next (which, ugh), and the WOKE FEMINIST IS RUINING MY CHRISTIAN BOOKS narrative has already taken hold.

Oh, one-billion-percent agree. That said, I’m vastly more generous with Scott because his output is so disparate. Whereas Nolan just keeps Nolan-ing in his Nolan sandbox, Scott will be like “a romantic comedy starring a washed up actor that will probably bomb? I’ll do it!”

Counterpoint: it’s a very solid little movie that led to me eventually seeing the original, which indeed is superior, but  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

He has made far, far worse films.

I’m struggling to think of another director whose filmography provokes such an intense good/bad reaction in me. Scanning that list, I have deep like for many of his films (Dunkirk is maybe my favorite, and imho most effectively marries his trademark Superior Technical Filmmaking with actual human characters), but holy

I suspect they think How Do You Live? would be too enigmatic for us dummies in the states, whereas The Boy And The Heron is exactly the kind of utterly generic title that won’t make us grab our pitchforks out of fear and confusion.

Bella has said she’s fine with they or she.

I’m pretty sure when they intro’d her I grooooaned to my partner about how he was going to get the “met a girl and got distracted” arc. Which, fiiiine. But the contrivance of her silently listening to his Big Monologue through the locked cooler door ... woof

Co-sign that. I’m happy for people that love it, but it crossed over into camp for us. The shouting!, the big speeches!, the self-face-slapping! (even the small moments felt BIG and telegraphic). Everyone turned up to 12 for an hour doesn’t give you anywhere to go. That said, I had problems with the whole season.

I’m so curious. The trailer is remarkably not funny (someone takes a shot and throws up? har har!), but the write-up is glowing ... however the write-up doesn’t really match the letter grade ... but everyone in the comments seems to love it, so ... my brain is scrambled and now I need to see it? Oof.

Speaking of John Wick ... there’s also Taken 1-3.

Fast & Furious? Wait, those are based on Jane Austen novels.
