this wasn’t a huge surprise to me, he seems much more comfortable as a host of the ESPYs or Oscars where he can probably make the same money doing a fraction of the work. I don’t think JP is “unfranchiseable” at all, its just that most expect so little from blockbusters in terms of plot and character development that the JP sequels have all been disappointments

Man, I didn’t know Beth Ditto was also an actor. She’s a hell of a singer and she always owned the stage at Gossip shows, so I guess it’s not really surprising she can act as well.
