“Florence Pugh is a very good actress” is hardly a take so improbable that her publicist would have to be behind it.

I would say everything I know about this film comes from the AVClub, and almost all of what I knew (prior to reading this review) was about the back-stage drama, rather than the content of the film itself.

She once bragged during an interview that an ex-boyfriend was a pimp and that she “stole his bitch” and then she started exploiting the woman sexually and financially. The interviewers keep trying to make sound less horrifying than it is, but TH doubles down and goes on to explain she called the woman dogface. (Starts…

Yes, but: if her character is a key part of future Marvel movies (particularly the two Avengers films), she’ll be employed deep into this decade whether this movie tanks or not.

See, this response probably made you feel nice and snarky, but the fact that you care more about us reading than us enjoying what we’re reading is kind of the problem.

Well, when you write endless, cynical gossip to drive clicks, you inevitably end up contradicting yourself. Hilarious that an article they literally published yesterday said this movie was supposed to be great. At this point I only visit the site to see what new level of embarrassment they’ve reached.

Well, at least New AV Club is continuing the Old AV Club tradition of hyping some random movie to the hilt only to ultimately give it a C-.

She regrets “agreeing to act” in it? I guess I shouldn’t expect anything more than the most passive language imaginable from someone involved in an active case, but I can comfortably say fuck her.

Rumors are that Pugh will be the lead of the MCU Thunderbolts movie. She’s in Dune and the next Nolan film.

I mean, did you expect her to drag the star of the film in the middle of a PR disaster that is making Olivia Wilde look like a sex-crazed director who kept disappearing from set to sleep with her new boyfriend while dragging the star of the film in private videos sent to “fired” stars? I hope she’s not that dumb.
