Oh, holy shit, that’s a real article. Welp, I’m done here. *throws self off cliff*

I am still trying to understand why game is so scarce for David and Co. Like, it’s not keeping me up at night or anything, but in this hypothetical world 20 years after most of humanity has been eliminated, the animal kingdom should be doing pretty well.

I’d reserve one in a heartbeat! I still see them on the road in LA and must say I think the design has held up well, and would make a rather smart-looking EV with a modest refresh. Plus Element is sort of the perfect model name for an EV.

Starring Paul Mescal!

A true cinematic turd! Thank god there’s a sequel coming...

My dad took me to Goodfellas due to Siskel & Ebert’s raves (particularly Saint Ebert), so it received glowing reviews from 100% of the critics I was aware of in 1990!

Gal Godot walks on stage: “Imagine there’s no heaven...”

Various curtains pull back to reveal a cross-section of Hollywood A-listers, singing in unison: “...it’s easy if you try...”

There are other factors contributing to the project that put it in jeopardy. House Speaker and Bakersfield native Kevin McCarthy has been against the project for years.

Just what the Oscars needs: more reverence! More people in awe!

“I’m Easy” is a perfectly nice song, but the “I’m Easy” scene elevates it to an all-timer. A standout heart-stabber in the middle of an astonishing movie.

It sounds utterly abysmal. Watching Eugene Levy wander and dine in Venice would be pleasant enough—why hang that ANCHOR of a terrible concept around its neck? And for multiple episodes! Oof.

Well said!

It has no market and no customers.

I think it really is the cultural difference between the US and the UK that sunk this. Like, we’re not as ‘stuffy’ or unemotional as Americans seem to think, but we are more reserved, and less into this sort of theatre-kid, try-hard stuff.

Lady Dynamite deserves some kind of honorary Emmy for being overlooked.

Someone else pointed out that Marvel are kind of in a damned-if-you-do, damned-if-you-don’t situation with their interconnectedness, where people are complaining that there’s both too much and not enough.

I know this is a crappy example but Dahmer was trying to create sex slave zombies by drilling holes in peoples skulls (I shouldn’t have watched it).

I never understood it that way, but holy sh*t. Love it.

I legit said to myself “it’s ok, we’ll clean this up later” because my brain couldn’t process leaving hair snippets on the floor.

To be fair, I think the “rah rah free market” people were entirely displaced by the “sPaCe LiZarDs aRe tEacHIng KidS BLaCk HIstOrY” people, so I’m not sure that’s the solve here.
