I never said that.

This is yet another example of Jezebel trolling for outrage.

Well, he's right.

"How/when was Girls supposed to represent women from all backgrounds?"

I was in a relationship that was non-monogamous for about 4 years. I'll confirm it's exhausting, but this is mainly why: because it takes up all your time.

If condoms don't reduce STD rates, than how come sex workers in Nevada, where condom-use is mandatory and sex work legal, have lower STD rates than porn stars?

You're what's wrong with the contemporary feminist community (note how I didn't say you're what's wrong with feminism, full-stop).

Maybe the libido of these guys rises proportionally to their romantic interest? The more they like you, the more they want to make you orgasm? That's how it is with me. I know plenty of women who are the same way.

Perhaps some women are so prejudiced against men they interpret any criticism of anything said by a feminist ever as "condescending"???

I've been fully aware of gender inequality since I was a kid. All of my bosses have been women. I have great relationships with my mom, sister, and female cousins. Half of my good friends are feminist women. I read feminist blogs fairly regularly.

You might want to fully-read comments you're replying to.

You're completely out of touch with the Jamaican community.

"Her memoir is said to provide behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of high fashion, as well as inspiration for women from all backgrounds."

So on one hand I've got Jamaicans, folks from elsewhere in the Islands, and Africans all over my social networks sharing this and thinking it's hilarious. On the other hand I've got Jezebel telling me it's racist.

I've seen this attitude before.

That sounds horrid. Bonus points on the D'Souza slam.

Co-sign. These shallow assumptions happen A LOT more within activist movements than people would like to admit.

Agreed.

Co-sign.

It's kinda disappointing to hear so many self-proclaimed feminists in this comment section subscribing to patriarchal views on male height.
