If they are denying it, then it must be true right!? Isn’t that how this works?

“We can confirm that (company A) is not in discussion with (company B) in respect of any potential investment.”

Fuck FOX. I paid FIA and watched uninterrupted.

“... the largest spill from this pipeline since 1996...”

Ha ha! Awesome man! No one has ever made a joke like this before!

The Democratic Party, right?

I can’t wait for Orlove’s next political hit piece somehow classified as car news. What is next “Hillary buys BMW but is also found to have a heart of solid gold and never tells lies.” I don’t think Trump is great at all but how about a little balance, I have not seen one article from this guy criticizing a democrat,

Gawker Media the place where the left can do no wrong, the right is always the enemy, and there’s no such thing as a moderate. It would be nice to come to a website about cars and not have a political spin on every third article.

We need more partisan political Gawker influence in Jalopnik. There hasn’t been enough since they were justifiably bankrupted.

News flash blackflag/Jalopnik:

There are many people, including many young people, who want something more environmentally friendly,

Isn’t that worse than going to a gas station once a week? You’re going to make a special trip and hang out at the Ikea for an hour to charge your EV a couple times a week?

Lets see how much longer it lasts. I contend it’s a nichy rich person’s car which will have declining sales when/if they manage to catch up.

VW is really only doing it because they are court mandated to do so. The major OEMs would be crazy to try and adopt a mass-market EV strategy, since EV’s are money-losers across the board for all automakers, Tesla included.

This is simply not true.

TESLA is smarter than everyone else (by a wide margin). Amazing and revolutionary too. EVERYONE KNOWS THIS!

You might as well say most people don’t live where they have electricity... which is false.

I think you need to look at sports cars to see how the curve will work. Sales are always strong initially and then they taper quickly. Because they’re a nichy kinda product that has a certain number of ready buyers, then you run out of buyers after the people who wanted one get one.

Vw is only talking about investing in EVs but their actions prove otherwise. Buying Navistar for instance

The company that has a looooong backorder list for new vehicles and a ton of deposits for a prototype?

There are plenty of electric-only cars that aren’t doing well (Smart Car, Nissan Leaf, Chevy Spark), but that doesn’t define the EV/Hybrid segment.
