You hit the nail on the head. The government doesn’t care about the soldiers. Their safety, their well being, etc is of absolutely no concern to them. If it was these wars which have no value to the american people would never happen.
The only sort of capitalism with government contracts and prison labor is the crony kind.
Because the government doesn’t give a fuck about the Safty of the soldiers, if they did they wouldn’t be sending them to that desert hellhole.
For the same reason so much non-combat equipment is made by blind folks over at Skillcraft. The Federal government is all about saving costs while providing employment to the vulnerable. They’re suckers for that kind of thing.
