This demonetization seems to have affected 10% of youtube. This isn’t pennies worth of income.

You aren’t getting it. If youtube straight up quit paying out, they would open thr doors wide open for a competing service to steal talent. As it lies right now. As massive as youtube is, google makes no net profit on it. Hence why there is no competition

I dunno, you need to invest many many unpaid hours in order to break into being able to support yourself. If it was as easy as you are suggesting, more people would be successful at it.

It really should be an all or nothing thing in regard to demonetization. There is a risk/reward to becoming a youtube personality. It is an incredibly difficult/demanding circle to break into. As such, I don’t blame people for getting upset about it all.
