To each there own, over the past couple years I have become very jaded to the whole driving thing. I do have an hour long unpaid commute though. I am fucking excited about autonomous cars, getting the “average” driver off of the road, and replacing my “sensible” Subaru outback, with something ridiculous for having fun…

There are plenty of Jalops who recognize the monotony of “daily” driving and the value of autonomy. Besides, wouldn’t “driving” be considered more fun if the only time you actually did it was racing online or going to auto-x events/etc?

I believe that is far to sweeping of a generalization. I do not think there will ever be a reason to take over control of the air/fuel mixture of my vehicles engine, or the trillions of other tasks that have been made autonomous through the use of computers of the last century.

Quite clearly, the car company is at fault. It is their system and putting the fault on the car companies will ensure they improve their systems so that it either a, never happens again, or b, happens far less frequently.
