Yep, and it's why I am oh so split on whether I should spend $60-$100 to get into the eq landmark alpha where if I wait long enough it's supposed to be free.

To each their own, many people prefer reading books then playing with toys and using their imagination. My analogy works!

But the best games are sandbox games which are more akin to toys, then conventional story driven games which are more akin to books.

I believe they are going to be enabling the buying/selling plots of land. Alpha pass people get a 48 hour headstart to claim all the land by the common spawn(s).

Have any closed beta passes you're willing to give away?

This seems like a good idea that can go bad very quickly... especially when he tries to get it to fight the neigbours evee.

That's a badass gopro ;) really small, I couldn't even see it on the interior of the car :P

The best thing about autocrossing shitty vehicles, is that you can use them as an excuse as to why you are slow, or as bragging rights if you manage to beat better cars then you. Case and point. Last time I went with a 2002 Grand Prix GT and I beat a mustang with slicks an wrx wagon, and the C5 Vette only managed to

So you're saying... that a base 5 series with no options is more relevent to being an economy car then a MS3 simply because the MS3 has spec options under it? psshht.

Yep these are definitely factors, especially when resale negatively effects newer vehicles more then used vehicles. And conversely the newer vehicle is arguably more reliable then the used vehicle. But so it colour, number of cup holders, and even style of rim. For practical purposes it's better to group cars that

Sure it is, just like if Honda made a Fit R, that too would be an economy car.

I think I understand where our disconnect is happening. You are viewing this from a manufacturers perspective, while I am viewing this from a consumers perspective.

Why not? From a consumers perspective they are both economy hatches. One has better performance/features, and the other is a little more bare bones. All the consumer has to do is decide whether the warranty/new factor of the Honda is worth trading up the advantages of the Mazda. It's not like we are comparing

If I was in the market, I would be cross shopping the two. Especially comparing new/used models.

Ok, lets cost neutralize, would you prefer a used Speed3... or a similarly price brand new Fit?

Oh they are listening, they just get off on being withholding.

You are correct it does lose big. I would so prefer to drive a used A45 AMG then a new MS3 at the same price. Similarily, I would prefer to drive a used MS3 then a new fit.

Or you can compare an MS3 and a Fit if you live in a world where used examples of the MS3 cost just as much as the Fit.

That is a mighty fine car. And I definitely lust over one more then the MS3.

I'm gauging raw appeal.
