Just try an X6 ... it doesn’t feel like it’s purpose isn’t handling. But you can’t have a large family in it.

Matter of perspectives. I usually drive performance-focussed cars, and occasionally I need to rent a large car for trips. I found all these trucky Suburbans and the likes really terrible. Over in Europe, I was impressed by the new Q7 (again, I don’t know the old one). Still no match for the (somewhat smaller) BMW X6,…

The suburban is just a pick up truck with an extra roof. And that’s how it rides.

I don’t know the old Q7 (the one still sold in the US right now), so I can’t speak to that. The new one is just great. I’m not sure what model year suburban I was tortured with, but it looked rather new. It felt awful.
