I have always disagreed that it was a bad play call. In hindsight, sure, but there was 34s with one timeout. Throwing the ball there ensured they had at least three chances while running it would not. If Lynch gets stopped for -2, they either run it down or call timeout. In that position, you almost HAVE to throw.
