Sorry, that should have read “median individual income", not "family income".
I should move to the 'states...
Holy shit?!?! Only 20-25%??? Mother fucker.
I paid like 41% of my gross in taxes last year...
Yeah, that’s the median *household*income.
Since the discussion was about individual income, I assumed we were talking about... individual income.
Most "households" have (roughly) 2 income earners. Cut your number in half and what do you get?
I downloaded and read his paper.
Agreed. I was just about to mention that people actually had WAY worse nutrition back then, not better!
One of the primary factors in why we live longer these days is simply better nutrition across the board.
It is fatal within 3-5 years *after the onset of symptoms*. However, most people don’t show any symptoms for an average of 5-7 years after their IF gut cells have been killed off because that’s roughly how long it takes for your liver’s store of B12 to be completely depleted.
If yours was caused by some kind of…
Me too :(
Treatment IS pretty simple, but the recurring symptoms are annoying if you miss a shot or two :(
Possibly if she had some OTHER form of B12 deficiency, but PA is an auto-immune disorder where the immune system attacks and kills the cells in the stomach lining which are responsible for producing “intrinsic factor” which is necessary for the dietary absorption of B12.
Most people with PA therefore cannot absorb B12…
I have pernicious anemia.
The only problem I see with this story is that left untreated, PA is terminal in like 3-5 years after the initial onset of symptoms.
Unless the history books are totally wrong, Ms. Lincoln didn't receive treatment for PA, yet lived for a LOT longer than that after the onset of her "symptoms".
The point is the sharp “ouchie” end. You want to hold it by the other end.
My guess would be "killing"?
Nice troll.
Pretty good for only 52 hours with the character, impressive.
Uh, the internet?
YIKES! Holy "Uncanny Valley" Batman! That CG is creepy AF!!!
LOL!
Every fantasy world has to have Elv... I mean, uh, “Forest People”
