@BlunderBus: Style and elegance. And for people that don't know much about operating systems and can't be bothered to hunt down one good app in a sea of unregulated mediocre-to-crappy apps, the iPhone is easy and it works (despite the death grip issues).

@Clancycoop: Obviously the burglar wasn't using Stopping Power

You know why the iPad should be in blue for every category? You can buy one TODAY.

@Saudrapsmann: If the playbook is geared towards the corporate world like the blackberry, I wouldn't expect it to have nearly as many games available on it's app store as Apple. Compare to Android and Apple app stores, the bb app store is kinda wimpy.

@goldentreesang: Of course it's a fact, you started your statement with "I think...". No one will dispute that is what you think. However, it's "usefulness" depends entirely on what you consider useful. I never use spreadsheets so, to me, MS Excel is kinda useless.

@TSmith: I see what you're saying now. And you're point about what's considered casual browsing is true. I come across many websites that use flash too but i usually skip past them if they don't display on my iPad. I'm not too concerned with it if i can't see it, but I guess there are many people that do not share

the only problem with comparing all these new tablets to the iPad is that you can't actually buy any of them. As soon as one of them is actually available, then you can all say it's better than the iPad. You know why the iPad is the best one on the list? Because people can buy it right now, not some time in late

@TSmith: because it clearly states: "for casual browsing...there's simply no better option."

is there a video with all the different transporter effects?

@S1MPD1DDY: i wouldn't let the geek squad touch my phone anyway.

@baneyu: i don't know what the laws in other countries are regarding this issue, but this particular law would only apply in the U.S. so although it would matter greatly to SE Asia whether or not you can legally unlock a phone, if it's still illegal there, the article still stands.

@thedudeabidz: the price of a macbook or an imac is comparable to an equivalent windows machine.

@B_Ren: my c0-worker has had 2 bad HP laptops too and he leaves it on his desk all the time. doesn't even unlock it to take it home. one had a fried motherboard and the other had a bad harddrive. what's your point?

@Ybother: i'm not commenting on your opinion of Apple and it's business practice - it obviously isn't something you agree with. I'm only going to disagree with your comment on the iPad. Yes, it is not a full-fledged computer, but it's not a step back in computing because it isn't meant to be a full-fledged computer.

@Zing: hell, i'm canadian and you sir just won. LOL!

@minibeardeath: Apple could also make it work with AppleTV and the next generation iPad. but yes, MS definitely could flex their muscle a little bit to push themselves into the lead with this. Windows is still the clear winner in the desktop OS (even if you don't include the corporate world). Like you said, if WP7,

@Saul Cisneros: i'm totally with you on this one. the freedom we all share is the freedom to choose which device we want t use. my iPhone doesn't limit my choices, it opens opens a whole new freedom where i don't have to sit at my computer to read and write email or casually surf the web or quickly search something

@Akio Morita: iPod announcements are usually later in the year. around fall. no one really expected anything around the iPod.
