This gets me, for all the obvious reasons, but also because it really ought to be covered by Jezebel. Who knows if it will — it sometimes feels like Jez is being paid to gush all over Amy Schumer as many times a week as possible — but it would be the good and decent thing to do.

Well-said. I agree and, for what it’s worth, my mind immediately made that Salma Hayek connection/comparison, too.
It’s pretty much reflexive that I’d be all for a (preferably Democrat) candidate making history as the first woman to be elected President of the U.S.A. and it’d be nice if that came to be sooner rather than later, in the bigger scheme of things.
