As a dabbler in historical romances, can I ask which book it was that offended your sense of accuracy so?

Can I just say that I love that you had to put these rules in place? Like, that this is an issue in your household often enough that it had to be addressed. Doc Stockton won’t stay in the room for more than 5 minutes if Downton Abbey is on.

If they ever decide to expand “Make a Wish” to include “30-year-olds who just have had a rough go of it lately”, that is legit what I am asking for. Preferably with straight gin. Because apparently that’s how Lizzie rolls.

Ahem. I’m a high school teacher, not a middle school teacher. And my students don’t write essays on “You Oughta Know”... they write essays about “Ironic” and how the situations described in the song are NOT ironic, and how those situations could be changed to meet the definition of irony.

Fingers crossed our government hasn’t completed gutted our public university system by the time it gets real!

When I did my undergrad at a Canadian U, I had a few friends who were American and had found that paying international student tuition fees here was still cheaper than attending their own state school. Plus, we did’t have frats at my university. Double win, as far as I can tell.

Also makes me very curious about how those conversations with the therapist went. I’m having a hard time picturing a therapist saying, “Yes, you’re totally entitled to get whatever strange you want without being open with your wife. That is the healthy thing to do in this situation.”

You know, I read an entire page of poop humour, and your joke was the one that made me laugh out loud. Cheers!

Ha! Clearly great minds think alike. I would not have put it passed SVU to have two different “animal smuggling ring” plot lines, so I wanted to check...

Is this a different animal smuggling ring than the one where the captain hugs the monkey he finds in a basketball? Or the same one?

WAT? What are you doing, Stabler?????? Why are you getting into a slap fight with a tiger???? YOU WILL LOSE, I don’t care how lovely you are with your shirt off. YOU WILL LOSE!!!

I really want to see the longitudinal study that compares patient outcomes when the first responder is singing Staying Alive vs Another One Bites the Dust.

And this, right here, is why I will be notifying my in-laws about my labour when it is over.

I love this story. It’s the Canadianest camp story ever. Throw in canoeing on the lake and sighting a beaver and you’ve got yourself an Atwood short story. Provided the young camper ended up working in Toronto and thought of that racoon while dating her first boyfriend, years and years later.

Melatonin is available OTC in Canada. It’s often in the vitamin/supplements section.

So obvious as to be laying it on with a trowel.

This reminds me of the Too Many Bridesmaids posts on I Thee Dread this week. Being a bridesmaid is not a no-hassle endeavour these days. It involves dresses, travel, costs of throwing at least one party, etc etc. You should only do it if you really want to!

Seriously, there will be less drama if you do not have her in your party. I had a maid I was on the fence about including because I knew she was a... strong personality, and we had been kinda naturally growing apart in the lead-up to my engagement. I ignored that instinct, had her in the wedding party, and she made my

YUP. Sounds about right. Fielding 87 thousand emails about shades of a colour and necklines were not how I wanted to spend the 2 months leading up to the wedding
