So, what, I’m just supposed to trust the liar that I’d see half the ads if I subscribed to this sham of a service? Please.

I mean, Twitter is free and nothing the company does creates the things I want to see on Twitter. Hulu, on the other hand is like $7/month and does produce things (Reservation Dogs is great, y’all) and I’m still not paying an extra $8 to see it with no ads.

I just block the account of any ad I see for free.

From the NY Times:

For 8 bucks a month you shouldn’t see any ads

Because no one in the US is responsible for his arrest.  The police in the Bahamas are.

Reminds me of “pharma bro” Martin Shkreli.  WTF calls someone pharma bro?

SBF later told reporters he would only do so remotely because he was “quite overbooked.

“Multiple lawmakers admitted they simply “didn’t get” crypto with others saying it seemed like an asset solely designed for criminality.”

Bankman-Fried, known by his initials SBF

He also said yesterday on some podcast, I did have ultimate responsibility in the sense that I was ultimately responsible.”

It’s so much worse than embezzlement. Embezzlement at least implies some intent or ability to try to hide the malfeasance. This was just morons getting money from morons to invest for morons. A human centipede of morons. As someone with decades of experience in finance and derivatives, it’s just so utterly

SBF began that testimony by, “formally stating, under oath: I fucked up.” - Weird, but the draft testimony doesn’t include an oath! It’s almost like his lawyers knew that saying “under oath” is not the same thing as actually being under oath (i.e., under penalty of perjury in the place where you’re testifying).

Ms Ellison cannot be far behind. The sheer imbecility of this whole thing just boggles. All of the people involved had at the very least a peripheral understanding that their structure and governance was inadequate, and that their appropriation/manipulation/comingling of investor funds was violative of all kinds of

Kudos to Coffeezilla, who kicked SBF’s can until he spilled the beans!

The wheels of justice do turn slowly. But considering how many others with means have been get away with murder, both figuratively and literally, it was understandable for us to wonder if those wheels would ever turn at all.

The guy looks like the adult form of a kid who got rejected from Stranger Things.

That last one had me staring at the screen for a while. Un-fucking-believable.

This is what happens when the culture rejects the notion of rules, accountability, oversight, and law. I won’t say how that happened, because you know how.
