I know of two people who were surrogates for others. The people who they carried for were middle class. I know people take out loans and there are other ways to finance a surrogate.  I’ve never explored it with regard to insurance, but there may be companies that include surrogacy as part of fertility coverage.

However at my job an acquaintance has a kid who is brilliant. 36 ACT, top of the class, chess champion, and they’re Asian decent. Liv is an amazing performer and I’m glad they are doing what brings them happiness and a better piece of mind.

Transphobes are getting more open and bold about their hate and not pretending it’s about women and children’s safety and fairness in sports.

Or dick enlargement surgery, or pec and ab implants, or any of the innumerable ways people surgically enhance themselves to conform to traditional gender conventions. None of that is “mutilation.”

It’s funny how the world doesn’t express such disgust when women choose breast implants to feel more feminine.
