The Supreme Court did something good for a change, Trump indictments are stacking up like flapjacks, and Pat Robertson is dead. This seems like way too much good news for a single day. I’ll be hiding under my desk waiting for the other shoe to drop if anybody needs me.

Yeah, as much as Scalia sucked, he was pretty consistent about opposing unreasonable searches and seizures, and sided with the liberal justices on those cases.

I’m not so sure about that take. Haven’t read the book of course but the point of his stories seems to be to analyse trans- and homophobia in Hollywood from firsthand experience. You don’t need to name names to convey what’s going on.

THIS omg it made me so angry that no rescue was willing to consider my husband and I because we live in a city (and so don’t have a big yard) and would like to have kids at some point. And the kicker of it all is that we were looking for a small dog, so not even one that needs a ton of space to begin with.

Nah, Splinter got it right. She’s just a lying piece of shit with a victim complex.

I’d weep for our future... if we had one.

She sounds and acts like an 8 year old that didn’t get picked for wallball at recess

Not disagreeing, but I always thought “cunt” was a more generic British word for jerk/asshole. Ditto “twat” and “wanker”

“Too busy to date” is right down there with “it’s not you, it’s me.”

“It’s all stupid,” a source told Page Six of the breakup. “She will not be writing albums about this one. It was a summertime thing. Does everyone have amnesia about Tom Hiddleston? Jesus Christ.”

Generally agreed, if you’re seriously allergic then I can understand wanting to be very sure about the breed and not taking a chance that you’re getting a dog that you’d have to give up after a week, which would be soul-destroying if you’re replacing a beloved family pet that has just passed away.

I’d find it easier to side with Pete if he’d gone to a breeder, but I feel like most stores that sell puppies get them from puppy mills. However, I think PETA would have made a better case here if they’d focused on the store itself and where it sources its dogs, and make it about educating people instead of just

I used to live in a building with an adorable mini border collie with a brindle coat and two differently pigmented eyes and I tried not to think of what it took to breed a miniature border collie. But then the guy had the tail docked, on a border collie, and all I wanted to do was slap him and take the dog to prevent

This. Peta deserves to suck the proverbial dick. They’re toxic attention whores who care more about being in the news than they do about animals, and they have a terrible track record.

Sometimes I wonder if animal welfare is actually their goal, since they are so toxic that they definitely do more harm than good.

Yup. Pete pretty much said what I would’ve said to Daphna.

98% of the dogs on petfinder:

I agree. I always wonder if they have any kind of real research to show their extreme tactics accomplish anything positive at all.

“If Pete had done his research, he would know that there’s no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog, that at least a quarter of dogs in shelters are purebreds, and that Petfinder has listings for homeless dogs of every breed under the sun, including the one he purchased.”

peta is a terrible organization that turns off most people to the idea of animal rights and shouldn’t be calling out individuals just buying a pet. bother farming  corporations and big box pet stores that still sell animals.
