I get that, but there’s a difference between feeling bad for Shiv’s guarded behavior around her mom and yas queening her as a girlboss.

I am surely not a mind-reader but it is my guess that Swift, by doing this collab, was trying to deflect criticism of her blind eye to Matty Healy’s quasi-racist antics. It is grossly self-motivated and calculated but is that to be surprised about? Of course, we should talk about it nonetheless.

Honestly the Karma remix just is not good. Swift has a habit of doing this with her songs, and the remix is never as good as the original. The Bad Blood remix with Kendrick Lamar was the only time that where the new verses from the collaborator actually improved on the original, but that’s probably because the solo

We are watching rich white people fail to their own stupidy. Unlike the Murdoch family they don’t effect our world. I think show does a good job at not making their lifestyle look so great. Contrast Succession with Wolf of Wall Street.

Thank you! I appreciate it, but I don’t like it, like it. Mostly it’s funny to me that so many people feel bad for characters who wouldn’t piss on any one of us if we were on fire. The AV Club comment section is wild. It’s not clear to me that they understand that these characters are terrible people. But people think

I watched the whole first season and appreciated some of it on a technical level, but just could not bring myself to care about any of the characters and the stakes felt entirely meaningless. For the record I actually love shows where people are being mean to each other but the requirement is that at least one

Because it’s white people being all thirsty and aspirational. Coveting the lives of rich, powerful assholes is what white people do. Aaron Sorkin wouldn’t be in business otherwise.

I live in rural Indiana and also hate Rokita. Is not just an Indianapolis thing. I was ecstatic when he stopped being my ccongressman!

I...don’t understand how you can read anything about that’s come out about Marilyn Manson and come away thinking ERW is the villain lol.

And, important to note, he has always been a piece of shit. No one really knew how big of a piece of shit he was, but he’s never hidden (and often reveled in) the fact that he was a terrible person, and for some reason people largely just chalked it up to him playing the part of the villain, rather than actually being

He’s such a piece of shit.

The brain drain is already happening.

This American Life did an episode about just this thing - though the ep focused on an Ob-Gyn in Idhao. An interesting listen.

These states need to be really freaking careful about this shit.  It’s not out of the realm of possibility that physicians simply leave Red states where providing life saving care become punishable by prison, fines, etc.  It’s already happening in Idaho.  Sure, there’s plenty of physicians that hold the same beliefs

She’s a hero

Is there a gofundme for this doctor's legal fees? The woman is doing the lord's work.

I always figured the mom had a baby fetish of sorts, like people with kittens. After a certain age they lose their appeal, pass em’ on to someone else and get another.

Right? He was either asking her for real because he’s an idiot who thinks a 10-year-old will have a good opinion on this, or he was asking her because he’s an adult and she’s a child and he thought she might have wanted to be treated like a mature person being asked an important question by a grown-up.

“if you’re like me, you’ll summon memories of returning home following your freshman year of college with pink hair, a tattooed ass, and Alison Bechdel in hand only to be met by raised eyebrows and your grandmother’s tears.”

Came here to say this. What was actually wrong with that question? Might this be one of the most appropriate human interactions the man has ever had?
