1. These were impossible to find when they came out, and that never changed.
2. The loaded version with the turbo and ginormous panoramic roof was overpriced.  Just try to find one of those.

“Everything is just a few hundred clicks away.”

IF YOU USE IT IT WON’T BE MINT ANYMORE!!!

The predictive text there (at 1:05) is outstanding, from “The aardvark admitted its fault” to “the absinthe arrived by airmail” to “The Althusserian scholar gave his copy of Lacan’s “Ecrits” to the abortion doctor.

There’s a difference..the Vacuum cleaner collectors have meet-ups - in hotel banquet rooms...the washing machine people gather in each others basements and run their loads.

Plenty of foreign tourists under Franco though, especially by the 1960s when package holidays to Spain really took off.

It’s not Spain, it’s France (Poteries)

And who apparently don’t mind sweating their asses off in a polyester pantsuit.

If you buy a Zodiac you're the kind of sophisticate who'd drive to Spain on holiday at a time when going abroad was for the well off.

Porsche Pasha. I need it.

So was the reason they gave in the movie (that MacLaren had started like 20 yards behind Miles) and thus traveled further, what happened in real life? Because that’s the most bonkers part of the whole thing to me. How can you run a 24-hour race like that, and what if MacLaren had finished like 17 yards behind Miles?

They have index versions of target date funds that have pretty reasonable expense ratios, at least the Fidelity ones. The non-index based are too pricey but for someone who doesn’t know what they are doing and doesn’t want to learn, the index versions are the perfect set it and forget it solution.

Target date funds not always terrible. In my current 401k, all of the target date funds have 0.06% expense ratios.

I don’t think the purpose of target date funds is to maximize returns. It’s to proved reweighting of asset classes in a way that results in higher risk/higher return earlier on and lower risk/lower return closer to the retirement date. The point of owning one is so that you don’t have to manually reweight every 6

I see your first point is a “perfect is the enemy of the good” kind of thing. Target funds are aimed at people who don’t want to (or don’t feel qualified to) look for something better. So the fact that you look into it means you’re not their target audience. I happen to agree with you, but at least the lazy person

As a first-time investor, you’re often guided to index funds as the place to start your wealth-building journey.

Yes back up lamps were even optional on the first Mustangs.

rear fog lights are always only on one side. otherwise they would just be brighter tail lights.

I suspect it varied based on the market it was sold in.

Some required a rear fog light, and thus needed a bright red light - but only one of them. Might as well re-purpose one of those reverse lights for the job.
