Looks like it’s Porsche 917-025, judging from the paint scheme. That car was owned by “Team Zitro”, a privateer team in endurance racing. The team owner was named Ortiz, the team name is Ortiz spelled backwards.
ALL the stars
Looking at the ones in front brings to mind the phrase “fifty shades of gray.”
The other story I heard about the Isuzu Impulse was that the design originally proposed by Giugiaro as the successor to the original Giugiaro-designed VW Scirocco 1st-gen. from the 1970's
After the quiz show scandals of the 1950's, game show hosts have to be very limited in their interactions with contestants. That’s why he did not spend a very long time on stage with you when the cameras weren’t running.
I’m old enough to remember watching it with Art Fleming. He was very smooth too, in his own way.

She has her priorities right!
Yeah, the Corolla IM has caught my eye and looks interesting. The return of the Civic hatchback in the last couple of years is good news too.
#NotAllKinja: I prefer, and bought, the base model with MT.
For the same price, I’d take the MT Mazda3 Hatch over the AT Mazda 6 too!
So they specifically told the press that the 2019 would only be Japan sourced? I wonder how they will keep the Mexican plant running at capacity.
I vaguely recall that now - the 3rd Gen originally only had the MT on the 2.0 models, but it was offered in more trim lines later on. That was around the time when the Mexican factory opened.
Did they give ANY hint that the manual transmission options would expand? I want a manual hatch, maybe with AWD, but I don’t like sunroofs and $27.5k is grossly overpriced, no matter how “premium” Mazda thinks the car is.
I remember toying with the idea of buying one of these when they were new. Then I came to my senses and thought “Are you crazy??”. A heavy VR6 shoe-horned into the engine compartment was clearly going to make for a very nose-heavy car, and would be terrible to work on to boot. Your post confirms all my suspicions.
Seconding the handling question - Mazda has jacked up the price, killed the rear visibility, and limited the availability of the manual. Does this thing still handle well at least??
$27,500 for a manual hatch with lots of options I don’t want??
It’s back to Honda Civics for me.
How about calling the D.C. NFL team the “Washington Warriors”?
