What’s the deal with Max’s dickhead brother (?)? I don’t even think he’s gotten a mention in here yet.

Putting two hands on a ball will be a more accurate pass than swinging one hand. It’s a more stable base.
Basically, he was saying, “If you can get close enough to the ball to take a swing at it with one hand, move your ass a little harder and get there to get both arms under it.”
I mean, it looks cool and all, but I would see a play like this about once a year at our local beach volleyball circuit. Hell, I’ve made a similar play before and I am fat. She had a really good reaction and managed to get a good swing while laying out for it. Good for her. But if her team hadn’t ended up winning the…
I think that’s the Libero, something that came into being after I was no longer playing.
As long as you’re not lifting the ball, you can use whatever body part you like.

Rotated, forming a triangle with the corner of the document. When you fold the pages over as you read through the document, it forms a nice snug line against the full length of the staple. No focal points for tearing. It’s logical, dammit.
Bist du das, Herr Hitler?
How dare you. Take it back, Mr. Denton.
I really like Kinja.
How old are you? Are you single or have a family? Are you looking to spend money or do free-ish stuff?

That made me chuckle.
I have nothing witty to say, other than I love living in Syracuse. And Ithaca is also great. I really do despise Utica, though.
Wait, what? Budging is totally used in upstate/central NY.
He could have been Babe Ruth, but if he was never on the field, that makes him a bad player.
Nick Johnson is my favorite bad player of all time.
Upstate NY edition: The Punisher logo with the blue line on their car (which, hey, can you believe that a town just on the outskirts of Syracuse... basically, so close that it is essentially part of Syracuse... actually has this decal ON THEIR POLICE VEHICLES). Also, (not that we see this MUCH in the city, but...)…
I feel like I’m a fairly bright and curious fellow. Yet, I believe the first time I’d ever heard of the Spanish Civil War (other than an ‘in-passing, this-happened-once’ kind of thing) was in Pan’s Labyrinth. Why is this not a bigger part of America’s collective memory? Maybe it kind of just got swallowed by WWII, but…
