I really liked the Middle East-inspired setting of XII as well as the Gambit system, surprisingly. I’m a bit of a programmer at heart and, while it took work, it turned made the game a really fun real-time experience. It was something different and it worked for me.

I’ve always been an old-time fantasy lover at heart,

I kind of feel the same way. I didn’t NOT care for VII, but it didn’t do for me what IV, VI, Tactics, and (later) IX did. I ended up loving XII though, so maybe I’m a weirdo.

Indeed.

Absolutely speaking for myself.

I’m an only child from a large-ish family, so having a family myself was something I’ve always longed for, grumpy bastard even though I am. Also, seeing my parents work together with my aunts/uncles to help my grandparents as they age and approach the end of their lives has had a strong

I mean, yes. I wrote that with more than a bit of snark, knowing the audience.

With all sincerity, though, it’s been a hard, but amazingly wonderful experience. Since she made the transition from human potato to an actual little being who is starting to interact with the world around her... it’s so awesome to see. I

I have a six month old daughter. She’s great. She thinks all my stupid jokes are funny and she gets really happy to see me when I pick her up from daycare each day. It’s pretty wonderful. Plus, I’m getting to experience all the beginning of life things again through her eyes. PBS Kids is pretty cool, you guys.

I’m sorry Hannah. You have clearly never lived anywhere that has transcendent hard ice cream. Also, you’ve obviously never learned that a waffle cone is the most appropriate vessel to hold your ice cream with stability while you attack it with your face. I don’t know how this happened to you, but I am so, so sorry.

Come on, man. Spiedies are good. Yes, Binghamton sucks only slightly less than Utica, but there’s no need to knock Spiedies.

It looks like a slicker Prince of Persia.

I hate to agree with the idiots in here, but that is a really unfortunate headline. A headline spoiler three days after a movie comes out in theaters? One demerit for you, sir.

It all depends on whether you’re eating adult cereal or the cereal of a child.

What? How have I not heard of this? Why was this not huge news?

I feel like we’re WELL overdue for a film that really examine’s Reagan’s time in office and takes a critical look at his politics. They were awful.

I’m certainly no fan of Reagan, but I’m even less of a fan of Alzheimer’s/dementia. This movie sounds gross. I think I'm with Davis on this one.

My doctor’s office won’t even cooperate with my pharmacy’s auto-refill program for prescriptions. So, I have to call them every month to refill my acid reflux medication.

My uncle, for all intents and purposes, lives in Antarctica. My aunt did a tour with him for 3 (or 6, I forget) months in the past. It’s definitely a non-zero number.

Kinsler has, for a while now, been my favorite player who doesn’t play for my favorite team.

You forgot Syracuse. I forgive you.

I really, really want to try this stuff.

Also, ever watch basketball in a large stadium? It sucks. There’s a reason everyone complains about the Final Four being held in a stupid football stadium every year.
