Idk I thought the video was cute. Black women, including myself, are understandably sensitive to how we're being represented in the media, and I myself felt a little awkward seeing the twerkers and Taylor Swift dressing like them at first, but after watching the video a few times, I came to the conclusion that Taylor

I agree. I think that this doesn't bother me because it was included as a part of dance styles in general - she recognized that hip-hop is a legitimate dance style and gave it no more disdain than any of the other ones. And if the point was that she doesn't fit in there, then is she really appropriating?

I am pretty certain there were white women in the mix anyway. I thought it was a cute song, throwaway pop, sure, but still cute. She represented all kinds of dance, didn't seem to be "appropriating" any of it, but rather was just having fun traveling through all the styles. She clearly wasn't in earnest as a hip hop

I'm all for pointing out cultural appropriation and calling out those who perpetrate it, but I fail to feel outrage over this video. I mean at least Taylor thinks that it's a dance equivalent to ballet and interpretive instead of going, "eww black girls shaking their asses, yuck". And if all the dancers were white,

I try to explain that movie, but nobody believes me. It's such a great movie.

I would KILL to be able to dress like this, but I am fat and lower middle-class, so it's obnoxiously loud, ill-fitting polyester camp shirts from Lane Bryant for me.

He's not a pedophile.

Thank you. I have a great fondness for some of his movies and I have the ability to separate him as a gross dickbag and how important I think some of his films are. So many people on here are like "Besides being a pedophile, I just don't get why people like his stuff! BORING." Like....sure, it's fun to have opinions

This is how white, privileged women dress. Haven't you been to Connecticut?

Yeah. I'm not going to assume that any individual commenter who doesn't like Woody Allen is biased by his personal life, but people on Jezebel - as a group - definitely have trouble acknowledging that awful people can also be talented. Woody Allen is an evil child molester who should spend the rest of his life rotting

You have to prove your moral superiority by not just disowning the artist, but bragging that you NEVER fell under the thrall of his works. That makes you an extra-good person.

I don't get this at all. I don't get why Jez commenters are so quick to rubbish the entirety of someone's artistic output once it becomes apparent that said person is awful. Allen? HACK. Polanski? HACK. Sean Penn? Community theatre reject with no talent or charisma. Gary Glitter's 'Rock & Roll Pt. II'? A lifeless

Hmmm...they all seem like fairly normally dressed women. ***shrugs***

I've never commented on a post of any news article in my life, but this might be the biggest garbage I've ever read. I don't think Jeter wanted his age and diminished skills to be a recurring news story this season. I also believe he wanted to provide the Yankees the ability to plan for their future without him.

1. I HATE DEREK JETER BECAUSE HE GAVE NOTICE FOR HIS RETIREMENT!

That's some horribly flawed logic. 4/5 Americans aren't Native Americans. The majority does not get to decide what the minority finds offensive.

Thank goodness Titz69 spoke his mind on the issue, now I know which way I should side in the debate

As a runner, this article bothers me. Who cares if these people ran rouge? Seeing as you don't have pictures of them with medals, are you SURE they took medals at all? I want you to find me a person that ran legitimately and didn't get a medal because they were out of them. I probably still won't care about this,

These are not women well aquainted with "moderation" in any aspect of life.
