AMD has had the ability to use the vulkan API available since before there was the official Windows version (albeit in beta). When this patch released for DOOM, AMD released a driver update that contains the official DOOM Vulkan for AMD (no more beta driver).

It really isn’t about the game, but rather, the engine. Source Engine (Valve), Unreal, and Gamebryo (Elder Scroll/Fallout) are the most modded game engines. Quake would be a hard 4th and declining nowadays.

I see this as absolutely a push against cheaters buying multiple copies really cheap on their primary account, then they can gift 5 copies for $35 to their cheating accounts. I bought CS:GO when it first released and haven’t played for more than an hour or two since.
