I have a story! Not paranormal.

My sister and I were facing each other in a hallway about 3 feet apart. An orange tabby ghost cat walked up to her and started making a figure 8 around her legs. We know it was a ghost because we had no orange colored cats at the time. We both saw it and we both saw it doing the same thing. Could be group hysteria,

I said it last year, I’ll say it again - I can usually think up alternative explanations for the “haunting” stories. But I know that humans can truly be monsters. The real ones terrify me more.

On a similar note, last week’s episode of This American Life had as their first story an awesome case of an old-time family

Yeah, but it’s supposed to be a true stories contest. I call such BS on this one though. The doxxing excuse is particularly stupid because someone could just look up the time Bundy was active and apply the correct years.

I tried searching for it but that's, like, 3000 comments to sift through.

I have one from when I was in college. I know it’ll end up stuck in the greys but whatever. Caution, this is LONG and told to the best of my memory.

I just spent a glorious hour reading the terrifying stories someone linked to on reddit about all the creepy shit a Search and Rescue officer supposedly encountered during his career. And I suddenly remembered something that used to scare the piddle out of me. And I’m gonna talk about it here because it stands a

I don’t believe in ghosts, or an afterlife really. I’m more of a reincarnation kind of gal. However, there are a couple of things that have happened that give me pause.

Sicilian’s don’t get into trees and they sure as hell don’t drive when it’s flooding. They do send their husband out to get milk when it’s flooding.

What does his wife being Sicilian have anything to do with her not being there?

I’ll explain this part in detail:

A dear friend died of natural causes a few years ago, leaving behind three daughters. The middle daughter started using her mom's phone since she didn't have one, and on her birthday she got a voicemail that was just the sound of a party - talking, laughing, glasses clinking, but only women's voices. She's convinced

I am a horrible storyteller, so I won’t even try, but I will give you some idea. If it sounds like anything anyone wants to hear, I’ll write more, but I need help in writing it so it makes sense. This is a story of a crazy haunting that took place over 9-10 years, so there’s a ton of detail I could put into it. Heck,

I have been there! Only for about ten minutes, because I felt super uncomfortable. I wasn’t afraid, but I was pretty sure that someone was watching me with disapproval. All of a sudden I got a very clear thought in my head that I should not “call” on people when “inappropriately shod.” (It had rained that day and I

My family lived in this house in NJ once. My father thought it looked evil, with Amnityville Horror windows. The backyard faced an empty field and beyond that was an old graveyard from around the time the town was founded in the last 1600s. Really pretty headstones.

When I was sixteen I would sneak out of the house at night get high and read a book (Such a rebel, I know). There was an empty forclosed home next door, and I would get inside via a basement window well and smoke in the basement’s bar area. One night it was raining pretty heavy, and I forgot to bring my lighter. I

It’s the moooost wonderful time of the year! Seriously, I live for this thread. My experience is not nearly as spooky as others’, but here goes anyway:

When I was 23 I was staying overnight for the first time at a girl’s place who I had just started dating. We fell asleep and at some point during the night I rolled over to throw my arm around her and she wasn’t there.
