Jor-El Godsey, the vice president of one of the largest CPC funders, Heartbeat International,

You’re actually totally right! I don’t mind them at all and think they’re quite cute. I’ve been trying to not even let my kid know about ones I couldn’t stand watching (Calliou doesn’t exist in this house from sheer rumor of awfulness alone) so it was nice to see that this whole series was good and available.

Help me, everyone. I’m so bored of these constant Marvel movies and now “live action” Disney movies but also I don’t want to watch boring, adult, “prestige” dramas. What's left?

I love that story.

Jealous bitch Tink, with any luck. She’s far more interesting that way.

Ayn Rand was an absolute narcissistic psychopath. They can be incredibly alluring at a superficial level (truly the only level they are capable of), but once you get to understand the man or woman behind the curtain, the facade falls apart. I think the only reason she continues to be compelling to so many people is

The world is full of people with good ideas, they can’t keep up with the great scripts coming in, but they only give a chance to tried-and-true mediocre shots. It makes me want to burn the studio down.

Why do we keep having to make Disney movies “Live-Action”?

I hope I’m still alive when they run out of their old movies to film cosplay versions of and they start making originals again.

I actually read a really strong subtext in Iron Giant along the lines of ‘elites are naturally better than the rest of the rabble..’ The main character is a kid who is so much smarter than the rest of his his peers that he is actively bullied and seeks to self exile. He finds a friend in an artist (another type of

It’s funny b/c I love The Incredibles and I was thinking that I never noticed the Rand-iness in it but of course, as soon as I thought that it clicked and I had that “oh yeah...” moment. Still doesn’t diminish my love for the movie though :)

Ayn Rand: only the people who are talented are people who I say are talented and they are the ones who agree with me.

Ayn Rand: Humanity could be great if it weren’t being held back by Humanity

Yeah, the early sixties and the whole “Camelot” were just an optimist’s dream.

Add to that the not-terribly-subtle Ayn Rand message in this film.

I don’t want to be in some store and have to deal with some neurotic woman with a goddam kangaroo. The whole ‘therapy animal’ idea has gotten hijacked by nutjobs and lazy-ass self-indulgent whiners who never get called out because “they’re sick and you’re mean to them”.

What the hell else is to be done with a brain damaged (almost) baby animal like this?

Americans are really schizophrenic about pets... Treating animals they eat like barbarians and asking for pets to be treated like children sometimes. It fascinates me.

Some clarification on the relevant law:

I hope this helps my case for therapy manatees. How could they not cheer me up?
