I don’t think it’s bad necessarily but I think it does speak to a troubling desensitization we here in the States have towards violence in the media. It’s obviously a huge issue, but I like to look at the model that most of Europe has when dealing with Violence and sex in games and movies/television.

Yeah, the censored version is substantially different in what can be seen. pretty much all the most horrible stuff is hidden or cut.

I have no problem with violence. For example, I have no problem watching that guy get pinned down by the Cat-beast and having his head stomped on. That was bloody, but not altogether horrible. It was quick. Boom-dead. I didn’t even flinch.

HEY! The first Steel Battalion was not a terrible game. It was *GREAT*, albeit with some flaws. The controller only made it better.

I remember seeing this trailer for it way back when it was called Molly Star Racer and thought "Hey! That's pretty cool lookin'." And then never heard anything from it again. I thought it was canceled, actually, or never even got made. I should try to grab the series, the character designs looked great.
