Assholes, yes, perhaps, but something that I think gets overlooked is that all these CEOs are also young. Bunn founded the museum when she was 24; the Away founders were both in their 20s, I believe. Another possibility is that they were way over their heads, didn’t have the experience or training to handle the stress

Not as surprising, but no Qs either.

“pointing fingers and telling on me and you, your momma, and your cousin” , “elite snitching” — what’s up with the framing of this? Why are you implying that someone SHOULDN’T tell the truth in court? Doesn’t this just perpetuate the terrible and hurtful idea that someone shouldn’t speak up if they witnessed

Yes! Came here to point out the same thing — the X has an extra level of LA history to it that I was bummed didn’t get called out in the paragraph.

oh yea, the chances would surely be very slim but it would still be possible.

So does this mean it’s theoretically possible for two teams to play each other SIX times in a season? Twice in the first 13 conference games, twice in the seeded section, in the conference tourney then in the NCAA tourney?

Just curious: why did the race car stop?

Rainbow Islands: The Story of Bubble Bobble 2

It happened on a TV set. Why is there no video of this? Show us the dang video, CNN.

So does such a small percentage of a team’s gross now come from ticket sales and concessions that they don’t care if less than a thousand people total show up all seasons?

Sweat shorts are the worst things to wear when trying to hide a boner.

Drawing a line in sand is a stupid idea. Sand is not known for its firmness. And how does one make that line hard? Seems like they need to be working with other materials.

This is one of the most genuinely funny (not funny-for-an-athlete-funny) things I can remember an athlete doing in quite some time.

So these TV people were in the middle of commentating DURING La La Land’s acceptance speeches part of the fiasco? Why weren’t they watching?

100% agree. He handled it just about as well as anyone could, and I hope that gets recognized. I think Kimmel handled it well too; they didn’t try to hide from what happened, they were blunt and open about the mistake. It all could have been way uglier and way messier.

The Islanders need a total overhaul of its marketing department. I live a mile from Barclay’s Center yet I never see any promotional materials, online ads, billboards—nothing. Ever. The only times I know a game’s happening are when I see Islander fans in gear getting on or off the train at Atlantic Terminal.

Yes thank you that is obviously the right answer. I feel foolish leaving that off. E. SHUT IT DOWN FOR THE SAME HOUR.

So does that mean the knowingly chose to sacrifice profit in order to break the strike? Because that’s way more damning than if they had raised surge prices, and I think that’s the argument that convinces me to delete uber.

huh? There was no snark intended, apologies if you interpreted it as such. It was a serious question. I can picture how much shit Uber would get if they had raised the surge pricing (which, considering supply had plummeted due to the strike, would have been the expected response from a purely capitalist perspective).
